Energy Saving Lighting System (ESLS) Overview

Systel's ESLS is the most flexible, powerful, cost-effective control system available for reducing the energy costs of lighting. ESLS includes:
- A full system of energy saving, addressable lighting devices, including dimmable ballasts, room sensors, room controls, and optional central controls
- High ROI, with payback typically in less than two years
- Full support for Building Management Systems, including load shedding, metering, and failure monitoring
- Simple installation and retrofitting, minimizing labor costs and down-time disruption
PLC control eliminates the need for wiring separate control lines to sensors and lamps. Systel sensors can also provide HVAC control for additional energy savings and higher ROI. Systel's modem technology provides error-free PLC communications in noisy power line environments (10-7 BER at 8 dB S/N).
ESLS Commercial Advantages
Shown below are payback and net savings comparisons for three technologies used in the retrofit of older fluorescent lighting systems (based on electromagnetic ballasts). The technologies compared are: electronic ballasts (EB), wire-based control line systems (e.g. DALI), and ESLS. ESLS provides by far the fastest payback and the greatest net savings. (Assumptions: re-use of existing lighting fixtures, electricity at 20¢/KWh.)
